Townsend Moore Funeral Services was formed 7 years ago with the main objective of trying to reduce the cost of funerals.

Its Directors have been in the business for over 20 years and felt that many Companies were overcharging.

Townsend Moore are now moving into Newark with its fourth Branch as this is a natural progression and we at Townsend Moore feel that it is needed in the area.

We haven't put any of our prices up for 5 years even though the Crematoriums and coffin suppliers keep having annual prices increases.

We also offer free limousines and flowers with every funeral and funeral plan, as we feel that in
many cases there is too much money charged for these.

At the same time that we are supply inexpensive funerals we are still supplying complete compassion and dignity with all of our funerals and we treat every deceased patient as a member of our family.

We think that many families feel that funerals are unnecessarily overcharged and live in fear of not being able to pay for a funeral. We are trying to change that.

Our funerals start from as little as £1,650 still showing complete compassion and dignity.

One last thing I would like to say is that most of the adverts on the television are placed by Insurance Companies NOT Funeral Directors and after they have taken their percentage they use local Independent Funeral Directors all over the country to conduct the funerals for them.
